Product Design - Undergraduate Milano

The three-year English-language Product Design degree programme at IED Milano introduces you to a user-centred approach that connects products, services, and the systems around them. You will design tangible products while also developing related services, gaining a holistic understanding of how users interact with objects and experiences. Through workshops and hands-on projects, you will tackle challenges of increasing complexity and work across the full design cycle, from user research and market analysis to prototyping and usability testing.

Throughout the programme, you will explore the internationally renowned Italian design culture while building a strong theoretical foundation to understand evolving behaviours and market trends. You will develop strategic and critical thinking skills using advanced tools and technologies, including 3D modelling, rendering and printing, electronic prototyping with Arduino, and sensor integration.

Graduates earn a BA-equivalent degree (EQF6, 180 ECTS) and are prepared to pursue careers in product and service design, supported by strong technical skills, creative methodology, and a multidisciplinary design mindset.
