Fashion Design - Undergraduate Milano
Program Overview
The three-year English-language Fashion Design Undergraduate Programme at IED Milano trains you to turn creativity into garments and accessories that tell original stories. Drawing inspiration from visual arts, design, digital media, marketing, and new technologies, you’ll create collections rooted in environmentally and economically sustainable lifestyles.
The program builds strong technical and creative skills, covering every stage of the fashion design process—from material selection and illustration to pattern making, tailoring, and full production—while working alongside industry professionals. Through workshops and labs, you’ll explore areas such as fabric design, knitwear, moulage, millinery, trend analysis, and digital graphics.
Set in Milan, a global fashion capital, the program blends theory with hands-on practice and progressively complex projects, culminating in a final dissertation and prototype development. Graduates earn a BA-equivalent degree (EQF6, 180 ECTS) and are prepared for careers as Fashion Designers, Textile or Knitwear Designers, Product Managers, and Trend Researchers.
