The Humboldt-Institut e. V. is a nonprofit association for teaching German as a foreign language established in 1977. In the 40 years of its existence, over 60,000 students from 160 countries have taken part in the institute’s intensive German courses.
The Humboldt-Institut has grown from a single course center at Ratzenried Castle – which serves as its administration headquarters nowadays – to a network of 16 program sites throughout Germany and one in Austria.
Its success is based on helping support each student individually. Courses at the Humboldt-Institut are taught in small groups averaging eight to 10 participants by highly motivated teachers with outstanding qualifications. The Humboldt-Institut is one of the fastest and most efficient schools when it comes to preparing students for globally recognized language certifications such as the “TestDaF“ exam or the “telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule" exam.
All prices are transparent, as course fees include tuition, teaching material, full room and board, leisure time activities, and excursions for most of the course centers of the Humboldt-Institut.
The Humboldt-Institut guarantees a swift and thorough learning process through our total immersion program and reliable tutoring. This way course participants learn German faster and hence get more for their money!
