I had a very great time

I had a very great time at GVI in Puerto Morelos. The staff made us feel welcome and made sure that we had a good time all together even though we had to work a lot. My overall experience was great and i didn't want to leave after finishing my program duration. My only regret is, that i didn't stay longer, i have made a lot of great friends and had the experience of a lifetime.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience with GVI

I have made many friends, done and seen things I never thought I would, and generally had incredible experiences. I have been surprised by some aspects of base conditions at both GVI bases I have been to so far, and those were beyond the information I had been given already. Specifically, the status of the toilet and sink at the Puerto Morelos base had not been communicated, otherwise, I would have prepared myself for a sink that did not work and was unusable. I appreciate that the GVI staff in Puerto Morelos had to deal with a lot of unexpected things and did their best to ensure the safety and comfort of all volunteers. I cannot fault the GVI staff in any way, and that goes a long way in terms of the difference they made in my time with GVI in Mexico.

Our stay here was good, but we got the wrong information before we got here (we applied for another program that the one we actually ended up working on). We also got very little information on how our stay here was organized.
