Volunteer on Childcare Projects in Mexico

I had a great time and tried my best with my little Spanish. However I would say that some Spanish is a must requirement if someone really wants to have an impact on what we are doing. To assist no or little Spanish is fine but to teach it is impossible of course. Daniela always did a great job and enjoyed working with her. The house rules need to be a bit more stricter and more controlled because when the house is full it gets dirty so quick so 1 time cleaning per week is not enough. Everything else was great, I loved working with the kids and definitely have I learned a lot in these 4 weeks!!

Even if we were the first volunteers for Emily she did a very great job and very professional. I felt safe and supported the whole time here. I am very thankful to have had the opportunity to do this volunteer job. And i always had the chance to say no to something i didn't want to do (go to Cocos).

Loved it, only complaint is that I was expecting to work with children with special needs and found out when I got there that this part of the programme had stopped. A special thank you to Emily for being such a positive presence in the GVI house and for generally being the best!
