Program Highlights

1. Develop your professional scuba diving skills, personnel management, teamwork, leadership and marine conservation knowledge and skills.

2. Learn how to identify fish and coral in the Indian Ocean.

3. Visit and dive amongst deserted tropical islands.

4. Develop the techniques you need to survey coral reefs, exploring different dive sites, visiting breeding areas for the hawksbill and green turtle, and endangered giant tortoises.

5. Have an amazing and unique adventure amongst some of the most beautiful scenery in the world!

Had the best time of my life in Cap Ternay! Met some amazing friends! Learned so many interesting new things about marine conservation. Diving twice a day is amazing! So many beautiful marine life. The best feeling to feel completely comfortable under water. Thanks to the experience I've build a lot of dive skills. Staff are always friendly and helpful. You will not regret participating on this program.

Very fun experience, living in Cap Ternay helps build you as a person, forces you to overcome fears and allows you to create unbreakable bonds with friends. It has been a very enjoyable experiences and I've loved and learnt from every moment of it.

I had a brilliant time learning about all sorts of fish and getting to survey them in real life.

I had a brilliant time during my internship in Seychelles - Cap Ternay with GVI, learning about all sorts of fish and getting to survey them in real life. I even got to swim with whale sharks on multiple occasions!

    This 6 month long scuba diving internship starts with 10 weeks on our Seychelles Marine Conservation Expedition. During this time you will develop your scuba diving skills and your understanding of marine conservation. For this following phase, you will be based at a PADI dive centre. Here you will undertake your PADI Dive Master course, shadow dive centre staff, and help the dive centre with all its commercial operations such as; taking clients diving, equipment maintenance and marine conservation lectures. At the end of the 6 months placement qualifying participants may either be offered paid or unpaid work with GVI or with one of our local partners.
