I have gained a passion, understanding, and appreciation I would have never experienced before.

I was able to go on hikes and be educated on species and plants that I otherwise would have never been able to have. The family and staff were both very welcoming and were able to help you with problems if needed. I very much felt their passion while talking to them, and I have gained a passion, understanding and appreciation I would have never had experienced before.

The biodiversity at the base alone is crazy and waking up with animals surrounding you was an absolute delight.

I had a wonderful time at GVI Keköldi for my 3 month internship. The staff were super passionate and knowledgeable, always ready to help. Everything was neatly organized and I really felt that I learned so much here. The biodiversity at the base alone is crazy and waking up with animals surrounding you was an absolute delight.

Being on an 8 week internship at the Kekoldi base was an incredible experience that I will never forget! The species biodiversity was unlike anything I had ever seen, almost every day I could go out and see a species that I had never seen before! I made so many new friends; both the fellow interns and the staff were wonderful. I was able to improve my wildlife identification skills tenfold thanks to the wonderful teaching offered. It was also a wonderful way to learn about the local culture and indigenous communities. If you have a passion for wildlife and exploring, you love every second of your trip!!
