Set out on a four-week excursion through many districts and terrains of Nepal while giving back to the community of Kathmandu! This project is mainly travel oriented as participants will be able to go sightseeing, trekking for five days, white water rafting, introductory language and cultural activities, as well as five days, spent volunteering with the local community. The aim of this program is for volunteers to immerse themselves in Nepalese culture while giving back to the community. Volunteer work will take place the last week of the program in the city of Kathmandu. Volunteers will be able to choose between a few different volunteer options such as teaching local children, organizing extracurricular activities for young school children, building new community structures, and assisting with various farming duties. Participants on the program need to have basic level English and be in good physical condition. As the majority of this program is travel oriented, participants have a range of destinations they will visit such as: temple visits, white water rafting on the Trisuli River, a visit to the Royal Chitwan National Park, and a trek up Poon Hill and more!
