Costa Rica - San Jose Medical Internship

Immerse yourself into the Costa Rican health care system with this internship in San Jose! Interns will usually get the opportunity to work one-on-one with a medical professional, whom they will be shadowing throughout the internship. Interns will work in either assisted living facilities or small, local clinics. Duties include aiding in patient consultations and medicine prescriptions, assisting in physical examinations, aiding in processing, reporting and interpreting laboratory tests, and more. Exact internship placements and tasks are determined by a number of factors, including Spanish language skills and qualifying credentials. This internship is open to pre-med, medical, and nursing students as well as certified professionals.
