Join GoEco and experience Cambodian culture by volunteering for children in the local community of Samraong. Become involved in various activities and get to spend an eco-trip after your placement. Your main role is to help boost the educational experience of underprivileged children, both inside and outside the classroom. Teach them english and assist in construction projects. A day’s work typically ends at around 5:00 pm, during which you can have dinner and then relax or hang out with fellow volunteers. This program is open to volunteers who have: - Minimum age of 18 - Good level of English - Motivation to work with children and meet new cultures - Full travel and medical insurance - Immunizations (please consult your doctor)

Doing both teaching and construction
July 06, 2024by: AnoukProgram: Cambodia - Teaching and Community Developmentmy favourite part of the program was having the chance of doing both teaching and construction because it meant that I could get a taste of both programmes. I enjoyed teaching because the children really showed me that they wanted to learn and were so happy to be in my class. The construction was also amazing because you can really se the impact the work you’re doing has for the local community and education for the children.

The volunteers were a great mixed bunch of people from around the world, all with a common goal in mind and that was to help and make a difference. Will definitely be going back for a longer stint next time.
