Visit the beautiful coast of Eilat at Coral Beach. Work to maintain and preserve the breathtaking coral reef, one of the first nature reserves in Israel. The reef is home to a variety of wildlife including parrot fish, Julie fish, giant shells, sea lilies, and butterfly fish. Volunteers manage beach and water maintenance, oversee boating and diving regulations, and help to protect this natural oceanic habitat.
Out of the 11 kilometers of Eilat beach that is located within Israeli territory, 1,200 meters have been declared a nature reserve. The Coral Beach Reserve was one of the first nature reserves to be declared in Israel. The Coral Beach Nature Reserve offers a spectacular combination of coral; creating colorful underwater ‘gardens' with butterfly fish, parrot fish, Julie fish, nocturnal fish and many other species, including sea lilies, giant shells and much more. It is one of the most densely populated coral reefs in the world and the only one in Israel.

The team at the nature reserve made me feel so welcome. They were friendly and I felt comfortable since the first day. Snorkeling in the Red Sea - either alone or with an experienced ranger - was amazing. I'm so happy when I think about my time there!! Thank you for the organization and everything! Travelling abroad alone for the very first time is absolutely terrifying, but I enjoyed every single moment. GoEco made me feel at ease before I arrived at the coral reef and when I started working. The friendly staff and breath taking environment made this a once in a lifetime experience. I have never felt more at home even in an unfamiliar country. Not only did I help to preserve the amazing environment , but I also learnt a lot about myself and I would recommend this to anyone who seeks adventure, growth or to feel at home.
