Shenzhen has different energy

As an engineering graduate from Milan, I wanted hands-on experience in manufacturing. GAC placed me with a tech company in Shenzhen where I worked on real production projects. My colleagues were incredibly supportive, and my mentor taught me how Chinese factories operate at scale. The team handled my visa, found me a modern apartment, and checked in regularly. Three months later, I returned to Italy with practical skills and a job offer. Highly recommend for any engineering student. I came back knowing what would be next step in my career.

Mechanical engineering internship in Shenzhen

As a mechanical engineering graduate from Sweden, I wanted hands-on experience in renewable energy. GAC placed me with a clean tech company in Shenzhen working on EV battery systems. I wasn't just observing – I was in the lab, running tests, analyzing data, and presenting findings to senior engineers. My mentor taught me how Chinese manufacturing works at scale. The team handled my visa, found me a modern apartment, and checked in weekly. Three months later, I landed a job in green tech back in Stockholm. My China experience made my CV stand out. Worth every krona.

My Mandarin tutor was really supportive of me!

There were a number of openings for real estate internships with Go Abroad China. I accepted the internship that I was offered in Qingdao because this was an area of work that really appealed to me and I wanted to travel and experience another culture. Glad I did! My first few weeks were a major blur of learning about government restrictions and local laws, but it got a lot easier, not least because of the language help I received from my tutor named Grace . Grace and the other students were really supportive of me. Once I had learned the ropes, my real estate internship job became very enjoyable and I got to meet lots of interesting people. The Qingdao Pier and the pavilion, the Huilange Pavilion, are a fantastic sight to behold, especially when all lit up. I really love living here in Qingdao.

Real estate internship

My name is Jacob and I attended a Real Estate Internship in China during the summer of last year. I applied through GAC. I got picked up from the airport by Nadia when i arrived. She put me to ease as I was a bit nervous of the new environment and language barrier when i arrived, but I got used to it after a while. At the beginning of my placement, I was given a timetable of all relevant events and activities that would be taken place in the following months, this allowed me to schedule my time properly. I also had alot of help from my team they were supportive and helped me complete my tasks . Throughout the placement, there was good communication from the HR team and I was also able to discuss with my supervisor and get enough feedback on my performance which was really important to me.
