This vital sea turtle conservation project is located 17 kilometers off the coast of Malaysia, on the beautiful Perhentian Islands. You will live in the volunteer house as well as spend a few nights at the nesting beach to carry out rewarding night patrols. Green sea turtles are residents in the areas surrounding the project and, during nesting season, many come to the beaches to lay eggs. The hatchlings migrate across entire oceans to feeding grounds, making them consequently at risk from many threats - pollution, fishing nets, poachers, and coastal development.
