Join Global Volunteers teaching Conversational English to Children and Youth on the picturesque island of Sicily, Italy.
Our partners in Sicily invite you to assist in teaching conversational English, the international language of commerce, technology, and opportunity. Local leaders believe learning English is necessary for their children’s and young adults’ future success in a globalized world and an increasingly integrated Europe. The demand is high for English-speaking volunteers in the region. You can be a valuable resource in Castelvetrano, where young people must learn and practice this critical skill to get ahead.
On a typical day, you create lesson plans from standard curriculum texts and our Conversational English Teaching Guide, engaging small groups of kindergarten, elementary, middle, or high school students in games and diverse interactive activities.
In addition to experiencing the daily pleasures of ‘la dolce vita’ – the sweet life – you can enjoy one of the most memorable experiences of your lifetime.
