Volunteer in Tanzania: Education, Childcare & Cultural

Volunteer with Gilys Children Foundation in Arusha, Tanzania, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable children while experiencing authentic Tanzanian culture.

Our organization supports more than 80 children through education, childcare, and community development programs. Volunteers can assist with teaching English, supporting learning activities, organizing sports and games, helping with arts and creative projects, and participating in community outreach initiatives.

This program welcomes students, gap-year travelers, professionals, and anyone interested in cultural exchange and community service. No special qualifications are required—enthusiasm, respect, and a willingness to learn are what matter most.

Volunteers receive accommodation, meals, orientation, local support, and a certificate upon successful completion of the program.

During free time, participants can explore Arusha, visit local communities, experience Tanzanian culture, and enjoy optional trips to national parks, Mount Meru, Mount Kilimanjaro, and other famous attractions.
