The responsibilities of web development interns in our partner elementary and middle schools include designing and maintaining responsive, visually engaging websites that align with each school’s brand, utilising HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and content management systems (CMS).

Managing and regularly updating website content—such as news, events, and academic information—by working closely with school staff to ensure the site remains accurate and relevant for students, parents, and staff.

Ensuring intuitive site navigation, conducting user testing, and applying feedback to enhance usability and functionality.

Implementing and maintaining essential tools, including online forms, grade portals, and integrations with student information systems (SIS), to support efficient school operations.

Maintaining site security and performance is crucial, involving regular updates, backups, and protection from online threats. Additional duties include ensuring mobile compatibility, optimising for search engines (SEO), and offering ongoing technical support and troubleshooting.
