Program Overview

All these projects are geared towards preserving nature and the ecosystem. Volunteer on farms, particularly in degraded areas caused by overgrazing and inappropriate cultivation. The initiative has been designed to protect the surrounding land against soil erosion and nutrient loss.

Agroforestry is a combination of agriculture and forestry, and it is considered the most sustainable land use approach in conservation efforts. Today, there is a need for organic farms or family plots. Generally, these plots are small and are found next to the house. These contain vegetables, fruits, herbs, medicinal plants, and ornamental plants (among others). Agroforestry, on the other hand, is used in natural reserves and national parks.

Eligibility for this program requires a good knowledge of Spanish and a desire to collaborate.
