From the first moment I contacted EBC about doing their TEFL course, the staff was absolutely professional, accommodating and kind. The course itself was very useful and I enjoyed going to class every day, it was a comfortable environment. They were a huge source of support during the course and especially beyond. I had a great experience at EBC Tefl! Having done a lot of research on various academies, I chose EBC because they were patient, available for calls, enthusiastic, and supportive. I called a few times and Tita answered all my questions enthusiastically and with great detail, which was a relief after several calls with sales pitches with inexperienced points of contact at other academies I spoke with, that lacked insight and experience. The course itself was taught by a charming and well over qualified linguist with over 20 years experience in the field, and who speaks 7 languages. John is impressive and reassuring to say the least. The quality of the course was elevated by having an instructor with a strong understanding of how to teach a foreign language effectively and empathetically. I felt supported throughout the course which is really important, because it's a lot work! I also made a lot of friends who I'm still close with two years later. I really recommend engaging with other students and planning study / work sessions. This is step one in networking as a teacher to get jobs in the future and will make the course more fun, because friends make everything better :) Though the course is a major time commitment, there are social activities and good amount of fun in the classroom. The group work helps you get to know each other, and of course the occasional and hard earned sangria happy hours are a great way to be social and unwind. There are a lot of options at academies with overcrowded classrooms, but I had a lot of one on one time at EBC and felt like a part of a family that really wants you succeed and set you up with everything you need to get where you want to be as teacher. I really recommend it as it's so important to have a positive and informative transition into teaching abroad.

I had been teaching for 10 years but without the right certification. When doing the course I learned so many things I am sure I could not have learned on my own. I am grateful I had the chance to do it, met with amazing people and got a great job afterwards!

I am an English teacher originally from the South of Spain. I started my University studies in my city and joined the Erasmus Exchange Program so I went to the UK where I finally finished my studies thanks to a scholarship I was awarded with. Afterwards, I decided to move to Madrid and become an EFL Teacher. Since then, I have been working as an EFL teacher in the UK. From the very first minute I started to research about different schools to get a TEFL & TESOL certificates in Madrid, EBC staff members orientated and advised me not only to learn & succeed in the course, but also to apply for jobs. In relation to Madrid, I literally fell in love with the city. It is a very vibrant & lively place; full of culture and places to visit. Since it is also quite cosmopolitan, you have many chances to meet people from everywhere and enjoy delicious Spanish tapas in traditional & cosy taverns. There is always something to do, and the weather is nice too. I really enjoyed tapas, museums, trips to towns close to Madrid, clubbing, cinema, street markets where you can find great bargains and antiques, etc. I would say that the mixture of how much I learnt during the course along with the enjoyment, made this experience unique. The course is intensive and you need to organize yourself quite well, but in the meantime it is very rewarding. Also the fact of interacting with your classmates and lecturers in and outside the classroom make you realise how much you are growing both personally and professionally. In EBC you are taught how to become an autonomous learner as in the end you are going to be a teacher; as well as they encourage you to reflect upon your weaknesses and strengths in order to work on them. Your perspective and way of looking at life change since you become a very open-minded and flexible person. Even the way of solving problems and overcoming barriers improve as you develop your own initiative and confidence. I think that once you live abroad once, you get hooked on it and you need to do it more times.

It was one of the top search results on google, and the more I explored the website, the more convinced I became that EBC was the company to go with. I am now teaching kids, young learners in Madrid and I am enjoying every minute of it. Love these kids. Thanks again EBC.

Studying for a TEFL qualification with EBC was one of the best decisions of my life, and I would recommend it to everyone. The staff were always on hand to help through out the course. The course itself was great and prepared me for the world of teaching. Lessons with EBC were very informative, engaging and catered for the individual needs of each learner. Through gaining my TEFL qualification with BEC, I was able to teach in some wonderful and amazing places such as Madrid and Shanghai. I got to visit places and meet people I never would have had the opportunity to go to and come across, had it not been for the TEFL course and gaining my qualification. I loved every moment of studying with EBC and building great professional relationships with staff and my classmates.

I saw the success of my sister in law who graduated from EBC. I have read a lot of good feedback on the internet. Good to see a school in business for a long time since 2003. The teaching was hands-on, practical and useful.

I’m glad that I was able to take this course since I had no teaching experience, the class and instructor was really helpful in molding my knowledge as well as developing teaching techniques that I could really use in future teaching positions. The teaching practices were at first nerve wracking but in the end, it turned out to be a fun experience for me and the students. With John's guidance everything turned pout perfect.

Good course for me because I ad no experience in teaching. Made me I'd say more confident, relaxed in front of people. I don't feel too scared now when I speak in public. The course was demanding but my teacher was superb, John was awesome, he was my favorite person in the school! I liked the practice classes because we taught students who knew close to nothing and some were kinda good.It was a great experience, I highly recommend this course.
