Amazing exchange experience in Perth

June 12, 2026by: Eva Konowitz

My exchange semester at Curtin University in Perth was an incredible experience. The courses were interesting and offered a different approach to learning, with a strong focus on practical projects and teamwork. Living in Australia allowed me to improve my English, develop my independence and meet people from many different cultures. Beyond academics, I had the opportunity to travel across Western Australia, discover amazing landscapes and enjoy the Australian lifestyle. Perth is a safe, welcoming and sunny city with beautiful beaches and plenty of activities. This exchange helped me grow both personally and professionally. I would highly recommend this experience to any student looking to broaden their horizons and gain international experience.

I had an amazing time which exposed me to so many new things in every aspect. I feel like a completely different person at the end of this program, despite it only being a short, 6 month exchange period. Truly grateful for the oppurtunity.

During this semester I was afraid that it might be hard to live with people I didn't know but it ended up being the best part of this semester. I loved my flatmates at flat40 and flat41 and they truly made this semester an unforgettable one so I will always remember about Erica Underwood.
