CIEE Summer Contemporary Netherlands Studies in Amsterdam

I think it was a great experience! Classes were very doable and there was a lot of free time. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was the fact that the dorm was so far away from the campus, and that there were no chances to meet Dutch students.

I would absolutely recommend this program to my friends and peers for the wonderful experience that I have had here in Amsterdam. I made lasting friendships that I can confidently say that I will keep for a long time. I stepped outside of my comfort zone while knowing that there is a support system, whether it be the friends that I made or the CIEE staff that will be there to help me. I learned so much about public health, not only in the Netherlands, but the field of study in general and may decide to pursue in terms of studying as a major. One of my favorite part of the CIEE study abroad program is the fact that the workload is at the perfect balance of studying and learning about the topic at hand, but also being manageable enough to the extent in which I can spend a good amount of time exploring the beautiful city of Amsterdam.
