CIEE is very organized and helpful from the beginning to the end of the program

The initial application and follow-up information were very straight-forward I felt well-prepared before coming to Japan. Laura Garlo was extremely nice and helpful throughout the application process and everyone I know in the program only had nice things to say about her. My experience here in Japan has been great too. All of the CIEE staff are kind and helpful. Lastly, I've been able to grow close to my friends from CIEE through its events and it has begun to feel like family! It's hard to be so far away from family but having a support system like CIEE makes it much easier.

It's an experience to expand one's knowledge of the world

It's an outside experience that I feel everyone should go through simply to expand themselves and their knowledge of the world. Many people stay in their own mind and going abroad I feel makes people think and become more tolerant of other people and cultures around then.

The program was able to set up a lot of interesting and fun event that I may not have participated in without the program. They were also able to provide support on a number of issues that may have been more difficult without the help of the program.

There's a lot of assistance for exchange students and good cultural events to expand your knowledge of the country. It's also a good support system to be around other CIEE participants who you could become close friends with.

There are lots of perks to CIEE such as the Hiroshima excursion and other aspects such as the Independent Study Tour and cultural reimbursement that encourage further and deeper interaction with Japan.

The program was very helpful with answering any questions I had. Not many programs that my college offered went to Japan. The over all application process was also very smooth. The program events were very fun, and the people I got to meet were amazing!
