In hands-on classes, workshops, and guided photo walks, you’ll learn from professional photographers and practice skills like composition, lighting, and editing in real-world settings. You’ll master fundamentals and practice new techniques from composition and lighting to portrait and low-light photography, all while immersing yourself in the beauty of Monteverde.

Beyond the lens, experience Costa Rica’s unique culture through local traditions and activities like folkloric dance. On excursions beyond Monteverde, photograph wildlife and historic landscapes in Santa Rosa National Park and head to the Pacific coast to experiment with coastal and underwater photography. Your time in Costa Rica will help you grow as a visual storyteller, build a standout portfolio, and imagine how photography could shape your future.
