AP® Spanish Summer Program in Spain

Everyone was so fun and very kind! There were many activities planned which most of them were very fun! The professors were very nice and good teachers and the advisors were so sociable and fun! It was a great experience!

I had a great time with MundoLengua! Everyone was really nice and adjusting to Spain went well. My Spanish definitely improved because we used it every day, and the classes were actually interesting most of the time. Staying with a host family was one of the best parts because I got to experience what life in Spain is really like. The activities were fun and you don’t spend much time here bored. I would 100% recommend MundoLengua to anyone thinking about studying abroad. It was an experience I’ll never forget!

I had so much fun would reccomend to somebody who wants to improve there communication in Spanish and get out of there comfort zone, also great place to make connections and memories that last a lifetime

When I arrived in Seville everything was arranged for me to be picked up and all of the staff were really nice. My host family is really kind and we talk about Spain and its differences with the U.S. She makes us meals everyday and her flat is really nice. All of the staff like Cesar and Diego have been nice work to make sure we are all good and having fun.

I came not knowing the others that I came with very well, but after doing activities with them, we became very good friends and much more comfortable with eachother. I feel like I have become much more social and less anxious in general. The activities around Sevilla are always a blast and help you learn a lot about the beautiful city as well as help you bond with others through laughter.

Great school really fun activities and people Would recommend for people wanting to travel to new places and meet new people the beaches were very nice and the teachers as well I wish I could come again next year

The living conditions and daily life are very different compared to what I am used to in the US. For example, air conditioning is not always a guarantee, so heat is a serious problem, both outside and inside your home. Incidentally I had some trouble sleeping at night simply because I am used to a much cooler temperature. Additionally, walking is the most normal form of transportation, so not bringing shoes designed for extended periods of walking caused my feet to hurt almost every day. I found the class activities rather odd (for example scavenger hunt) and felt that I could have spent my time better during class sometimes. Finally, showers. Due to the fact that I live in a country where water is not much of a problem, there was never a limit to my showers (granted I do not take “long” showers in my opinion). Additionally, there was always access to warm water. But showering in Spain is very different, where I was urged to take half as long while also dealing with getting used to cold showering, and that took some time to get used to. However, there are also positives to my experience. For most after school activities, I found them enjoyable. Additionally, the schedule was quite lax with lots of downtime to rest. The people were all very kind and I felt like I learned how to comfortably speak Spanish (albeit European Spanish). Finally, although the class is technically for people going into AP Spanish next year, I did feel like it was at my level in some ways. I could understand the content, and the cultural aspects they taught were interesting. Overall, I would give the experience a 7-8/10.

I cannot even begin to explain how meaningful this trip was to me. Our tour guide (marcos) that Centro Mundo Lengua (CML) gave my school (cranbrook) made the trip EVEN better. HUGE shoutout to Marcos-me and the rest of my school LOVED him! We made such personal connections with Marcos, and he helped my Spanish so much-(and I helped his English?) Marcos took us to so many cool places: Al Cazar, the cathedral , midnight bike rides , Cádiz , beaches in Portugal , and so much more. The itinerary was perfect and CML kept us busy, I loved meeting people from other schools and spending time with them during the activities. During classes, Hugo , the media director for CML came to us with an opportunity to submit a vlog of Sevilla for a vlog contest. I submitted a vlog and Hugo told me I won! I got an Amazon gift card and Hugo let me login to the CML Instagram and post vlogs on the story, I had so much fun doing that. Finally, the host mom CML paired me up with (Gladys) was AMAZING! She treated us with such great hospitality as if me and my roommate were her own daughters. She cooked the best Spanish dishes for us and I learned so much from her. This trip to Sevilla with CML changed my life- I will DEFINITELY be coming back with CML as a solo traveler next summer and extending my trip to Cadiz! I went to Seville with this program for two weeks and had the best time! The teachers were awesome. Our monitor was awesome and full of knowledge. Our house mom was the absolute best and had so many stories to tell. The activities were fun and overall everything was perfect. So so thankful!

Sevilla es una ciudad muy bonito. Tuve mucho divertida. Me encanta conocer gente nueva. Las actividades fui guay. La playa de portugual was mi playa favorito. La bicicleta a la noche fue mi actividad favorita.

Mi experencia en España, Sevilla ha Sido divertido. Hice nuevos amigos y aprendi nuevas cosas. Me encanto cada parte de esta experencia las 2 semanas se fueron muy rapido con todas las actividades tan divertidads

Me encanta el programa del verano con Centro MundoLengua. Cuando llegué la guía inmediatamente era muy amable y comprensiva. Esto duró todo mi viaje. Las actividades fueron muy divertidas y aprendí mucho de la historia de Sevilla. También, me gustaba la clase en las mañanas porque mi maestra era muy divertida y útil. Yo disfruté mucho la experiencia de Centro Mundo Lengua. Las actividades son muy divertidas y la experiencia ed muy feliz y positiva. También, apéndi mucho durante mi tiempo en Sevilla. Especialmente, la vida en la casa con la señora fue un tiempo muy divertido. Pero, en la playa recomiendo que uses las sombrillas por que hace mucho calor. En conclusión, mi experiencia en la escuela fue fantástico. Me encanta CML!

CML does a fantastic job--my students loved it! As a teacher I was impressed by their coursework, the activities and all the attention to the details that made the program run smoothly. Getting to Cadiz from the USA can be daunting but it's worth it. Your staff there is top notch--professional, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful experience that my students will never forget!

This program was excellent and I enjoyed every minute of it. The excursions and nighttime activities were so much fun and fully immersed us in the culture and daily life of Spain. The class was good for my level, but I would like smaller classes instead of having 20 people in my class. The group leaders, Sara and Ruben, were so much fun and helped me learn a lot about Sevilla. Lidia was such an amazing teacher and I felt like I learned a lot in the class.

Headline: You will not find a better Spanish-language/cultural immersion program for your students or teachers than Centro Mundolengua. For the past seven years, our high school has been taking groups of Spanish-language students and teachers to Seville, Spain to participate in this extraordinary program. Each year, the participants (both students and teachers) come back raving about the classes, homestay experiences, and cultural activities in this safe and spectacular Andalusian city. Most remarkable is the staff, which is uber-organized, friendly, attentive, and qualified. The man at the helm, David Hirsch, has succeeded in creating an unparalleled, first-class program. (By the way, there are great financial benefits for teachers who take students.) I have been on the trip twice, once this past summer, and I cannot wait to go again.

This program allowed me to see the city of Seville and learn about the culture while I became prepared for my AP Spanish course. I got to travel and have a fun experience that will benefit my education! Centro Mundolengua made sure that we always had activities to do that were both fun and educational, and I learned a ton from the Pre-AP class.

This was a really fun experience that helped improve my Spanish. It allowed me to get to know a new culture and see how they live. It was something I would absolutely do again.
