Program Overview

Spend your summer in Cologne and experience what it’s like to study in one of Germany’s most international learning environments. At CBS International Business School, the Summer Programme brings together motivated students from around the world for a month of academic exchange, new friendships, and hands-on insights into European business and society.

If you’re curious about how Europe really works – politically, economically, and institutionally – this module is the perfect choice.

In "The European Union – Policies, Decisions and Economy in a Global Context", you will explore how the EU is structured, how its major institutions make decisions, and how European laws influence everything from international trade to everyday life.

By the end of the course, you won’t just know what the EU is – you’ll understand why it matters and how European politics and economics shape the world around us. It’s an ideal module for students interested in international relations, business, public policy, or anyone eager to deepen their understanding of Europe from within Europe.
