Accredited by the American Culinary Federation, the Bachelor of Arts in Culinary Arts is a three-year degree that incorporates a great deal of hands-on training in preparing future chefs and managers. Three-year Bachelors of Arts in Hotel & Hospitality Management and in Global Business Management and a one-year Master of Science in International Hospitality Business Management are offered in collaboration with Robert Gordon University, a leading university in the UK, and prepare students for future leadership positions in the field. Finally, students can receive British MBA degrees in three specializations (in International Hospitality Management, in Innovation and Entrepreneurship and in Global Marketing) accredited by the York St. John University UK, while studying in Lucerne.

B.H.M.S. believes that hands-on training and work experience are vital in preparing tomorrow’s leaders. During each year of study, students spend six months in the classroom followed by four months to six months of paid industry training, where they are employed for one of B.H.M.S.’ partner companies worldwide. Examples of placements include Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, Sheraton, The Ritz-Carlton, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, The Dolder Resort, Kempinski Hotels and Resorts and more. Students participating in industry training in Switzerland receive a monthly salary of 2,212 Swiss Francs (approximately USD 2,200).
