B.H.M.S., Business and Hotel Management School of Switzerland, located in the heart of Lucerne city, is a top hospitality school and part of Bénédict School, one of Switzerland’s oldest and largest private institutions of higher education. Offering fully accredited degree programs in culinary arts, hospitality management and global business, B.H.M.S. prepares leaders in the hospitality and service industry through a careful balance of instruction in Swiss hospitality excellence and guaranteed paid industry training positions at one of the hundreds of B.H.M.S.' partner companies. B.H.M.S. partners with top ranking universities in the United Kingdom offering undergraduate and graduate programs. Accredited by the American Culinary Federation, the Bachelor of Arts in Culinary Arts is a three-year degree that incorporates a great deal of hands-on training in preparing future chefs and managers. Three-year Bachelors of Arts in Hotel & Hospitality Management and in Global Business Management and a one-year Master of Science in International Hospitality Business Management are offered in collaboration with Robert Gordon University, a leading university in the UK, and prepare students for future leadership positions in the field. Finally, students can receive British MBA degrees in three specializations (in International Hospitality Management, in Innovation and Entrepreneurship and in Global Marketing) accredited by the York St. John University UK, while studying in Lucerne. With students representing more than 90 countries, B.H.M.S. offers a truly global experience in the safety and comfort of Switzerland. B.H.M.S. students live in well-appointed apartments in the city center and eat their meals at B.H.M.S.’ restaurant. Small class sizes ensure that each student receives personal attention. Recreational and industry excursions planned regularly through the year introduce students to Swiss culture and professionalism in a fun but safe environment. B.H.M.S. believes that hands-on training and work experience are vital in preparing tomorrow’s leaders. During each year of study, students spend six months in the classroom followed by four months to six months of paid industry training, where they are employed for one of B.H.M.S.’ partner companies worldwide. Examples of placements include Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, Sheraton, The Ritz-Carlton, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, The Dolder Resort, Kempinski Hotels and Resorts and more. Students participating in industry training in Switzerland receive a monthly salary of 2,212 Swiss Francs (approximately USD 2,200).

A great place to study and an amazing experience I will always remember

Very happy for my choice to study at BHMS as I learned about my weaknesses and strengths, the teaching staff helped me to step out of my comfort zone, and loved the fact that I met many students from different parts of the world and in the end gained a prestigious international Bachelor degree in Hospitality management. I would recommend this university to students from all over the world as the study time is an unforgettable experience and the school helps in finding a job after graduation, something all students are looking for.

I am finished my third and last year at BHMS and I will miss a lot this school. Studying within an international environment with classmates of more than 70 nationalities had broaden my mind and widen my horizons. This resulted in enriching my experience by extending my global vision and developing my global perspective. I was sharing the accommodation since my arrival with the same girl. As the campus is in the city center, in the evening we were going for a walk and during the weekends we were joining the excursions and trips that BHMS staff arranged. B.H.M.S. offered me an internship at a 5-star hotel in Dubai and this was a significant step for my future career. Thank you for giving me this opportunity!

I study for the Bachelor Degree at BHMS. During my first 2 years in school I had the opportunity to complete industry training assignments at a 5* hotel in Switzerland, and then the 2nd internship was in Dubai is a 5* hotel as well at the front office department. I really enjoy the combination of theory and practice and the fact that the school provides help for job placement after graduation to its students. Also BHMS is a school which grew fast thanks to its amazing teaching faculty and its central facilities in Lucerne city. I am happy for my decision to come and study at BHMS and can't wait to graduate and begin my career as hotelier. I would recommend this school to whoever wished to have international studies in the Hospitality and/or Business field and looking for a top-class education.

I had a really amazing experience at BHMS! At first I was a little nervous to go so far away from home, but I was put at ease as soon as the driver picked me up at the airport and took me to my apartment. I made friends from all over the world and feel like I got a really good education. The staff at BHMS really take care of you and want you to succeed. Lucerne is a beautiful place and we did lots of fun activities.

The place isn't greatest but it is amazing for the money I paid. Met many new friends and new knowledge. Teachers are very understanding. Just wish the class are in the same building as apartment complex.
