Take the less traveled, more challenging path toward becoming a certified PADI Divemaster. Discover the Divemaster + Intern Program, a unique Broadreach experience. Only Broadreach offers the kind of professional scuba training course that demands more of its candidates, pushes them further, and transforms them into professional divers and more confident leaders. The Divemaster Intern program starts off like any other Divemaster course. Students undergo seven days of intensive dive training, covering in-class dive theory as well as in-water simulations and skill demonstration. From there, they push off onto one of several Broadreach boats, working closely with Broadreach staff and mentoring small groups of students in and out of the water. Eligibility for this program includes: - 18 years old - PADI Rescue Diver or equivalent certification - Minimum of 45 logged dives

Sailing like a Pro
December 17, 2015by: Christina GarrawayOnce arriving in St. Martin and embarking on our journey to becoming Divemasters, the relaxing atmosphere of the catamaran made it seem as if we were on vacation. Not having the typical classroom setting for the Divemaster course made this trip very memorable and rewarding. We spent about two weeks learning the material, which included knowledge reviews, two exams, and a skills circuit. While we were studying, we sailed to many islands, including Île Fourche, St. Barthélemy, Saba, and Statia. After completing the necessary steps to becoming a PADI Divemaster, we were given hands-on experience by each shadowing an instructor on his/her boat. This was truly one-of-a-kind, and I would relive this summer in a heartbeat. The friends I have made on this trip are for a lifetime, and the memories will last forever.
