I loved everything about my trip. The program was well organized, yet left ample time for experiencing the sites and cultures. The instructors were great and every guest speaker offered a unique perspective into each business, city, and culture. This was one of the greatest things I have ever done in my life.

Studying in Antarctica is like nothing else I can describe-- its harsh, beautiful, and pristine. Living on a ship for a week is an experience in itself, but when you are surrounded by the beautiful mountains, icebergs, and ocean, taking zodiacs to land each day to see seals and penguins, its another thing entirely. That being said, it was very difficult to learn about the detrimental effects of traveling to Antarctica while simultaneously contributing to them. I would certainly suggest researching the environmental impacts of Antarctic travel before committing to the trip.

This was truly an amazing eye opening experience. I learned a lot about the different ways that ecotourism affects the environment and wildlife in Antarctica. The excursions allowed me to see the wildlife up close. The lessons helped me learn more about the interesting continent of Antarctica and aided in the excursions.
