Program Overview

Imagine studying on an 83-acre campus nestled between beautiful bushland at the foot of Mt. Kiera and the stunning coastline, yet only an hour south of Sydney? The University of Wollongong is perfect if you want to live in a quieter, more intimate, and affordable community that’s popular with study abroad students who love the outdoors, yet still have access to Sydney’s events, culture, and nightlife. This diverse and multicultural university offers comprehensive course offerings, from robotics to creative writing and indigenous studies, and a highly personalized student environment. It is also well known for engineering and materials sciences. Of course, you're not limited to these subjects. Many students at Wollongong choose classes in psychology, business, or media studies. Its Student Support Services will help you settle in and make friends easily in this very welcoming and social campus.

More than I could have ever dreamed of in an Australian Experience!

Everything about The University of Wollongong is great....gorgeous campus, gorgeous beaches, nicest people, great classes! I could go on for days. I have dreamed of coming to Australia since I was about 7, and this experience is better than anything I could have imagined. I live on campus in Kooloobong, and the people here are really like a tiny family, right from the start they took us in and made us feel at home. The city of Wollongong is great too, tons of good night life, shops, food and beaches. I really cant stop saying good things about this place! Health and Safety: We got notified if there was any issue with safety rather quickly....and I never felt unsafe
