Grab this exclusive opportunity to work with a member of the Irish Parliament and get firsthand experience in the world of Irish and European politics. This is a truly once-in-a-lifetime program, and is part of a longstanding partnership between Arcadia and the Institute of Public Administration, a recognized college of University College Dublin focused on civil and public sector development. This program is the only one of its kind that allows American undergraduates to intern in both houses of the Irish Parliament. The placement requires two to three full days per week conducting surveys, researching and reporting on issues, and preparing press briefs. Additionally, you will enroll in an internship reflection course and three Irish culture courses.
Program Highlights
Take on real responsibilities, such as researching and reporting on public welfare issues.
Receive work assignments based on your individual initiative, skills, and experience.
Spend two or three full days in your internship placement and two days each week taking courses with other North American interns in the program.
Choose from courses like Modern Irish Literature, the History of Modern Ireland, and Irish Society and Politics.
Enroll in this program for graduate credit.
