Amazing experience

Wonderful experience with Angloville. Beautiful location and hotel and a chance to spend time with intelligent interesting people from other countries. It is tiring but well worth doing. Great food and swam every morning.

My Time at Angloville
August 07, 2025by: Andrew Areghan - CanadaProgram: Explore Poland & Teach English as a Language Mentor
I had no expectations when I decided to do this program but I enjoyed my time at the program. The kids were easy to work with, the program itself was interesting and immensely rewarding. I learned a lot of different games and different ways to interact with people and made a lot of lifelong friends as a result of this program. It is something I would love to do again if I get the opportunity.
Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re delighted to hear that you found the programme rewarding, enjoyed working with the kids, and built lasting friendships. We’d be very happy to welcome you again in the future. The AngloTEAM
It's truly a life time experience

I have been doing Angloville venues for years now and the experiences are always fantastic. The venues are always in fantastic settings with marvelous International and local participants. As of today I've done over 25 venues over the course of 8 years. Don't miss out in expanding your horizons when it comes to volunteering in the most extraordinary way.
Thank you for the great feedback! We’re thrilled to hear you’ve had such positive experiences with Angloville. Your dedication over the years means a lot to us, and we look forward to more extraordinary experiences together! The AngloTEAM.
An Unforgettable Experience!

A very lovely way to spend my summer holiday. I had a great experience at Angloville. The administration process was good as well as my travel experience to and fro. I stayed for three weeks at different locations in Krakow (magazinik zakatek, Willa tatry & Grand limba). They all had beautiful atmospheric condition and scenery. The accommodation was superb and security was really good. The people I met were amazing. The staffs, international participants and Teenagers. I had great conversation sessions with the teenagers as well as fun packed activities such as archery, hiking, indoor games, Olympics, scavenge hunting e.t.c. The food service was great as well. It was really nice learning from the polish locals as well as helping in improving their English speaking skill. Overall, it was a great Language immersion Program and I totally recommend. I look forward to participating at Angloville again! Thank you. ?

The best part of my trips to Europe!
December 29, 2019by: Sayeed Khan - United StatesThe Angloville experience is excellent and uniquely designed. For one week, you get to meet people from around the world and develop long lasting friendships. As a mentor, your schedule is busy, but it feels more like fun than work. It’s mostly one hour conversational sessions, which might take place during a walk or while sitting by the lake. Perhaps the best part is the sense of camaraderie that develops between the entire group during the week along with social activities at night. I highly recommend Angloville to anyone who enjoys working with people, being part of an interesting cultural exchange, or simply making new friends from across the globe
Fun volunteer experience
December 12, 2019by: Edward Tweedy - United StatesWhat an opportunity to meet and work with 10-15 smart and interesting Polish people and 10-15 smart and interesting native English speakers while helping the Polish improve their English. Venues were interesting and it was great to get free lodging and food while participating in an interesting and rewarding service project.
Really good experience
December 12, 2019by: Romina Reginato - ChileIt was a really good experience to interact with Polish teenagers and help them practice their English, the activities were well planned in general and I could also meet many volunteers from around the World!
A fantastic experience in Poland with Angloville
November 30, 2019by: Imran Mahmood - United KingdomI volunteered as a TEFL Teacher through the Angloville volunteer to teach English to students. The opportunity was amazing and built my confidence to teach different students together with seeing the signs and sounds of Gdansk and Wroclaw aswell. There was plenty to do and found that the locals are very eager to learn the different methods of learning that would help them in becoming fluent in speaking English. We where given an orientation tour of both cities at the beginning of start of the week interaction of teaching English. Most importantly both cities are historical and open to foreign nationals. Angloville was the greatest experience ever, a chance to use my teaching skills in helping the adult students and making new friends, having parties. Most important of all building a rapport with other volunteer teachers from around the world. The team leaders where brilliant in both cities. I got the chance to venture into the countryside and stay at the hotel in Gdansk and Wroclaw was superb. We played group games together. Also helped the students do a fantastic presentation on any topics that they would like to choose from, this gave them encouragement to speak out and gives them confidence is speaking to everyone in front of the group. I had a brilliant time visiting historic sites and sounds of Wroclaw. You get to also go boating and enjoy the local cuisine. There is always a festival going on in Gdansk and Wroclaw which is truly amazing. I will never forget my time in Poland and would recommend anyone who is thinking of going on the Volunteer Angloville Programme as a teacher, to go ahead and do it. It was a fun and interesting trip, I am very grateful to Angloville for giving me this chance, also to Premier TEFL for giving the knowledge to complete my 120 hours Tefl course. Overall a very brilliant experience, thank you.
Three weeks well worth the time and energy spent
April 01, 2019by: Deborah Gatiss - United StatesAngloville is everything it claims to be and more! I completed the full 3 weeks initially offered to me, and through it was able to earn my TEFL certificate (the experience was coupled with an online course I took) AND learn about Polish culture, history, and society while doing it. It was hard work and great fun all in one. While transitioning between programs in Wroclaw, Warsaw and Gdansk, I had time to explore the cities from which our departures and arrivals took place. I was able to see the countryside as well, while traveling to and from the hotel locations, which was an interesting piece that otherwise might not have been part of my travel. We ate a variety of local cuisine, and had a chance to meet and talk with every participant of the programs. It was highly rewarding to meet other native speakers as well as the Polish participants, and through the experience I learned more than I could have imagined. Definitely will recommend this place!
I was the most exited time in my life
February 27, 2019by: Yana Khokhla - UkraineI have a lot of to say about my life and experience, but the most powerful was - EDISON, Aiesec. I was in Czech Republic this winter. I taught English with children in different schools. It was unbelievable 6 weeks in my life. I really in love with Czech Republic and people there. I'd like to be volunteer one more time and I enjoying your culture.
Best decision I could have made to kick start my gap year!
December 10, 2018by: Valerie Masete - South AfricaChoosing to do the Angloville TEFL training and volunteering programs was the best decision I could have made to kick start my gap year! Firstly, the online TEFL training was pretty straight forward. All the materials needed to pass the course were provided and the site was user friendly. They give you three months to complete the course, but I was able to complete it within a month, working on it full time, before I started volunteering. While the online TEFL course is not necessary for the volunteering programs, I gained invaluable insight that came in very handy during my three weeks of volunteering. The hands-on experience was surprisingly very positive for me. I say surprisingly because I have always been an introvert, and here I was in a position where I had to talk to people I don’t know for the whole day. I have grown so much as a result of the Angloville programs. This experience allowed me to travel around Europe, meeting local people who taught me about their countries and their cultures. It also allowed me to form connections with English native speakers around the world! I did two adult programs and one junior program and I had fun doing all of them! All in all, I can now say that Angloville has made me a more confident person and equipped me with skills that will allow me to thrive as a teacher of English as a second language. This was definitely an experience worth having and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering it.
Quite a whirlwind! (In a good way, though)
August 21, 2018by: Brandy P - United StatesThis program is amazing! I would recommend it to anyone. I benefited from it professionally, academically, and personally. I learned a lot, saw a lot, did a lot, and met a lot of new people. I'll remember my coworkers and students forever. A big shout out to the Angloville Coordinators, the ones I met in person and virtually through email. I couldn't have done it without them! If I had to suggest anything, sign up for one week. If you didn't like it, you could go home. If you did like it, you could easily sign up for another Angloville program. It's also worth it, professional development-wise. I'm a graduate student getting my Master's in Teaching. When I interviewed for my Student Teaching position, the interviewers were very impressed with my completion of the Angloville program. I completed two weeks of Angloville Kids volunteering in July 2018. The first week I stayed in a hotel in Hungary. It was in a very nice forested area, away from any big cities. But, the rooms were a bit dirty. I would suggest bringing a sheet of your own to lay over the hotel's sheets. Getting to know my coworkers and students really helped me forget about the living situations. Temporarily, lol. At the hotel in Poland, I had to share a room with two other girls. So three people in the room total. And I had to sleep on a makeshift couch-bed. Also the students stayed in rooms in the same hall as us. So we could hear them running through the hallways, screaming, and knocking on our door then running away. SIDE NOTE: If you don't already know, hotels in Hungary and Poland are a bit different than in the US. They don't have air conditioning, reliable WiFi, or screened in windows. Oh! And Angloville programs are completely dry, so no drinking alcohol. But really, a positively life-changing experience. Do it!
Amazing opportunity to meet amazing people!
August 01, 2018by: Saul Rigg - United KingdomI have just completed three weeks of Angloville programmes and have met some incredible people along the way. I managed to take part in two junior and one adult programme over the three weeks, both of which provided varied experiences as a native speaker. In the junior programmes, I was a little disappointed with the standard of the accommodation and facilities available, as well as the food. There was quite a difference between the size of bedrooms and washroom facilities, and the games facilities left a lot to be desired. Having said this, I had a very positive experience with my course coordinators (the best were on my second and third weeks). Many of the Hungarian/Polish participants were great to work with and interested in finding out about the native speakers. On the adult course I was able to meet a variety of interesting people from different countries and backgrounds who made the experience unforgettable. The venue was wonderful and we have ample time to relax and do our own thing! I recommend this programme especially to anyone considering taking part in Angloville next year.
Rewarding and worthwhile
May 07, 2018by: Jeanie Rowand - ScotlandBran, Transylvannia 22-27 April 2018 In the warm, sunny and lovely countryside of Romania I was able to share six memorable days with an interesting and fun group of diverse personalities with extraordinary life stories. Although the programme was intense the time just flew by in 5* surroundings, with exceptional coordinators and the never ending good humour of the group. I marvelled at the commitment of everyone and the satisfaction of language goal achievement. I would like to thank everyone for a very rewarding, worthwhile and memorable six days.
Angloville in Poland
August 26, 2017by: Joe Tekeng - United StatesIt was one of the best decisions I have ever made. It was an amazing experience being able to stay in nice hotels for free while being fed Polish meals three times a day. The venues are great, the staff is kind, outgoing, respectful, hard working, and also caring. The Polish participants you teach are amazingly talented, most are friendly, and outgoing. You will notice that the participants want to be there and they love the speaking sessions. The week is well organized and is filled with many speaking sessions, group activities, and games; but there is free time to rest as well. I did three programs in Poland and they were all amazing and each were different from the types of people and venues but equally spectacular. I highly suggest doing an Angloville program, it will be one of the best experiences of your life.
Angloville and Premier TEFL perfect matchmakers for teaching, volunteering, exploring Europe
August 01, 2017by: Porter Huddleston - HungaryAngloville and Premier TEFL are hitting home runs in Europe. They are the platinum experience for volunteering as an English teacher/conversationalist in beautiful locations across the continent. And their fully blended program is the best way to earn internationally recognized accreditation as a TEFL-certified native English teacher. Vetting potential teaching English abroad programs is a tall task. There are many to choose from. But how do you know which one will give you the best experience for the time, money, energy and emotions you pour into planning for a trip overseas? I reviewed most, if not all, of them before my wife and I decided on a program. Angloville stands out heads and shoulders above them all. And now that we have completed our program, we each have four weeks’ experience teaching in Europe, 120 hours apiece of online TEFL training, and a combined 560 hours of first-hand, in-person teaching to back up our very strong recommendation of Angloville and Premier TEFL. These organizations are buttoned up, professional, and easy to work with. My wife and I are from south Florida and wanted to leave our jobs as advertising execs to do something that mattered. We wanted to make connections across cultures, travel around Europe, and most importantly, help others in other parts of the world. We decided to volunteer overseas in Central Europe and were impressed with what Angloville offered those interested in being English teachers/conversationalists. Free accommodations at resorts in Poland, Hungary, Czech, and other locations. Meals provided at no charge for the length of your program. Free transport from the host city to the program venue. A free tour of the host city prior to the start of the program. A comfortable and relaxed setting for your time engaging with people from other cultures. A selection of programs to choose from, including weekend programs, week-long programs and extended programs (10 days). Plus, you can choose whether you want to volunteer with youth, juniors or adults/business professionals. We chose to begin our international adventure by working closely with Premier TEFL to complete 120 hours of in-depth, online training to teach English as a foreign language. I have a BA degree in English and Journalism, and my wife has a BA in Communications. We were both very impressed with the additional education provided by Premier TEFL. Excellent and fascinating training! They gave us ample time to complete the courses and modules prior to departing for Europe. Having completed our online training, we volunteered for four weeks in a row with Angloville at various settings across Poland and Hungary. We had a first-class experience. From the application process and pre-trip communications to the helpful guidelines and clear itinerary they provide, my wife and I knew we had selected the right program before we even boarded our plane for Poland. Angloville simply has a top-notch staff. I am not sure who is responsible for their recruiting/staffing efforts -- Marlena and Anna, possibly -- but they should be recognized. Once we arrived in Europe, our program coordinators Ryan Gentle and Magda Janowska were buttoned up. Very professional and forthright about the program’s goals for our Polish participants, while being funny and easy-going at the same time. That's a tough balancing act, and they pulled it off beautifully. Ryan and Magda provided excellent communication about how each day and the week as a whole would play out, so we were never left wondering what to do or what would happen next. They provided clear timelines, were always friendly, laughed easily, led by example, attended to the individual professional needs and skill levels of our Polish friends, made mid-week corrections where necessary, coordinated well with the hotel staff, requested and provided feedback on all things related to the week’s efforts, and made time to socialize with the group as a whole. Ryan even got up early to run mountains (up the ski slope) with me and my wife. That’s dedication! We felt like we had more than co-workers and students throughout the week. We had friends. Ryan and Magda’s laid back demeanor put everyone at ease and helped create a comfortable atmosphere where our Polish students were free to make mistakes, while making great strides in their English. After our time with Ryan and Magda and the group at Hotel Chojnik in Poland, we moved on to join additional Angloville teams in Hungary and Poland led by Fernando Betancourt, Ildiko Simon, John McGrath and Agnieszka Borek. One of the strongest indications of a well-run organization is that our initial positive experience with Ryan and Magda was reflected again and again at other venues with other program coordinators. Angloville has achieved excellent brand consistency, which is a lofty goal pursued by Fortune 500 companies and the world’s top brands. The Angloville experience is good everywhere and with every team. Though our Angloville programs are over for the time being, my wife and I maintain close contact with our new Polish and Hungarian friends. We use a number of different apps to stay in touch, to grow our friendships, and to keep providing English support to them. After our amazing experience with Angloville and Premier TEFL, we are looking to live full-time in the Hungary/Poland/Austria region of Europe. We want to work either as English teachers, American football, soccer or softball coaches, or a combination of these. We fell in love with Europe and Europeans. And Angloville and Premier TEFL were our matchmakers.
Great adventurous experience!
July 13, 2017by: WillAngloville found me through the Couchsurfing app, and asked me if I wanted to volunteer as a "teacher" for their Polish program. I didn't know anything about Angloville, so I was a little skeptical about the idea of riding out to a secluded resort to tutor English and having the room and all meals paid for. I did my research and jumped on board, especially since I was already in Poland at the time. I had an amazing experience! The Polish speakers were just as nervous as me at the start, but as the program went on we were sharing stories, having laughs, and exchanging big hugs as we parted ways. Let me warn you- YOU WILL WORK! You may spend up to 10 hours speaking, learning, and translating, but the topics of conversation are pretty much up to you and your mentee. You also get plenty of breaks throughout the day if you just want to run to your room and escape conversation for a bit. (I bonded well with many of the Polish and English-speaking participants, so I spent several breaks pairing up with someone and walking the beautiful countryside snapping plenty of photos) The room was nice, and the food was great (local cuisine!). Also if you choose to become TEFL-certified, Angloville can help you. I'd be happy to do another Angloville program when I return to Europe! :)
Talk+ listen & teach+learn & experience
June 22, 2017by: Anonymous - RomaniaThe Anglo-TEFL Scholarship is a perfect mix of theoretical basic knowledge and the experience abroad in one country or several: Poland, Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic The online course is easy to follow while the Angloville Programs are fun and challenging. Once you entered the Angloville Programs world you can: - talk a lot in English, but you need to stay still and listen from time to time; - teach the local participants but at the same time learn from them about the local culture, learn from your colleagues about their experiences and from the coordinators how to manage a larger group o f students; - experience local culture, food, fun ... Don't waste any more time, JUST GO FOR IT!

The highlight of my 9 month trip around Europe
February 27, 2017by: Stephen - United StatesCan't really put into words how awesome this experience was. Basically, in my 9 months of traveling, I will look at the two weeks I spent interacting with the Polish students as the absolute highlight of my trip. This is such a unique, singular experience. I did two camps in a row - but other volunteers were on their 5th or even 10th Angloville program. And it's easy to understand why: this is a "feel good" experience. You're working with AMAZING, intelligent juniors, and equally awesome staff and fellow volunteers. I'm grateful for the opportunity, and I look forward to figuring out how to fit in another camp before I head back to the states.
Everyone should do it at least once!
January 26, 2017by: Tam - United KingdomI have done 4 volunteering programmes in Hungary and POland with Angloville and completed the premier TEFL online course as part of the scholarship. THe programmes are fantastic fun, each one has had a very different vibe with different groups each having a unique dynamic but all have been great and now I have a TEFL certificate to show for it all. A great way of travelling solo as you have a ready made group of friends ready to meet you at the venue.
Truly everything it promises to be
January 24, 2017by: Luke - Czech RepublicI've now taken part in two Angloville programmes, both in Poland, and wouldn't hesitate a second to do another. The quality of accommodation is always a 3-4* hotel and usually in stunning surroundings - I did the Wroclaw and Krakow programmes in October and January respectively, one in the middle of a golden autumn forest and the other amongst the ski slopes of the Polish High Tatra mountains. The true value of Angloville, however, is the exchange between volunteers and participants. You'll meet a huge variety of people over the 6 days (from businessmen to artists to nanophysicists) and make some great friends in that short time. 70 hours of speaking might sound like a lot and, in many ways, it is. However each hour is spent with a different participant and conversation typically flows very naturally. If not, Angloville provides topic material to discuss and many group/pair activities are scheduled to keep things varied. You'll always have 1.5 hours free time after lunch to rest or explore the immediate area then social time after dinner. It might sound like an extrovert's environment but don't let that dissuade you - you'll find yourself made welcome by fellow volunteers, participants and coordinators alike for an unforgettable week in some of the most spectacular locations in Central Europe.
Real talk, real teaching experience
December 26, 2016by: OliveAt first, I thought that the Anglo-TEFL scholarship was too good to be true. How could anyone offer a free online course and accommodation and food while earning TEFL certification? That's exactly what it is. What I didn't bargain for, but was happily surprised to find was that I made a great deal of amazing friends in the process. I felt like I was adequately prepared for what was asked of me as a volunteer through training, but the real training is by having conversations with people with prior English knowledge. It was insightful and by the second week, I had more teaching tools at hand. The experience was very useful. I also felt that my volunteering was useful!
Native speaker perspective
December 23, 2016by: Rachaymk - CyprusI would highly recommend anyone who has the opportunity to attend Angloville as a Native Speaker. You will learn a lot about the English language that you didn't know from the teachers but also from the other English speakers. Teaching is the best way to learn- you will learn! You will also be gifted with some great new friends - from Poland and native English speakers- and memories as well. You will not regret working with Angloville. Enjoy! Rachael
My new addiction
September 29, 2016by: Loretta Tappan - United StatesI am as addicted to Angloville as I am to traveling. In fact, I will check the Angloville website before making future travel plans. It was an incredible and unforgettable experience. Thank you so much!!
Memories to cherish
September 19, 2016by: Amie Van Horn Gabel - United StatesAs a seasoned educator I have very high standards of educational programs. As an active international traveler, I also have a keen sense of what makes a quality cultural immersion experience. Now, as an Angloville alum, I have nothing but outstanding, incredible, memorable reviews to share about my experience volunteering as a native English speaker in August of 2016. I was impressed with Angloville from the start with the clear directions provided during the application process and all subsequent communications. Once in Poland, the Angloville team continued to impress me. From our included guided tour of Warsaw, the journey to the resort, the social and educational activities planned, and more, the Angloville staff seemed to flawlessly organize all aspects of the program. They were professional and personable, the perfect combination for a serious yet social program. I stayed at the Lipowy Most, which was the ideal venue. Quite honestly, the accommodations exceeded my expectations. The setting of the resort was truly picturesque, with many areas for us to explore with our Polish conversation partners. There was even an indoor pool, sauna, steam room, and game room. In addition, our meals were great, and we always had plenty of water, tea, and coffee available throughout the day. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful as well. While we had very scheduled days, we also had enough breaks built-in to each day. I liked that the conversation activities were varied, so it wasn't repetitive, and that the Polish participants had a culminating experience at the end of the program that they were working on throughout the week (a presentation). Not only was I there to help the Polish participants practice their English, but I learned so much about Poland through the many lively conversations I had with my new Polish friends. The cultural immersion is truly a two-way street. By the end of the week the English and Polish speaking participants developed such great friendships, that we didn't want the week to end. Thankfully we have social media to stay connected! I highly recommend Angloville, and truly cannot wait to participate in another Angloville program.
The experience to cherish
July 18, 2016by: Eugene Dmitriev - United StatesIn September 2015, I joined Angloville in Hungary at Hotel Nyerges. This was my first experience in such a program. I applied to this program to have a unique experience in my humdrum life. Plus, I couldn’t say no to see Budapest and stay free of charge at a resort with a pool, thermal bath, and Jacuzzi, including free board and 3 meals a day for one week. Of course, I had to work, but somehow after a vigorous week, I felt rested and re-energized. When I applied, I was concerned that the program was a scam -- too good to be true. However, I did a proper research on the program and didn’t find any negative comments or even a warning to stay away. So, I decided to apply thinking that if it was a scam, they would ask me for money at any point during the application process and even after. However, they never did. In fact, administrators of the program were friendly, positive, and professional. Last, but not least, I was concerned that I wouldn’t be accepted. Though I earned TEFL Certificate, and my English language knowledge, I believe, is on par with most of English-born speakers, I was apprehensive due to my accent. My accent is not thick, but it stands out. Nevertheless, I was accepted into the program. As Gideon (my Skype interviewee – talk about a new experience) told me that having a different accent in the program will be beneficial to local participants since people of the world speak in English with different kinds of accents and exposing themselves to one would be a great experience. With such positive feedback, I was ready to head out to the land of people who grow wonderful wine (though a bit too sweet) and speak one of the craziest languages of this beautiful planet. Before coming to the program, I received all of the itineraries that included step-by-step explanations about the tour of Budapest and of the program itself. Of course, one requirement was to provide a confirmation number of my in-bound flight to show my commitment to the program. My first experience with Angloville (not counting my Skype interview) was during the Budapest tour where I met the Anglos for the first time. The tour guide, Eva Kleyer, was a good guide and provided interesting information about the history of Budapest. Yes, there was a lot of walking, but we also traveled on the local bus and metro. The tour consisted of Buda Castle, Hero Square with the local castle (where a traditional festival was taking place), and random visits such as to Jewish controversial monument, a playful fountain, and monument to Soviet regime and a statue to Ronald Regan on the same square. The tour ended with a lunch. The program First and foremost, I want to send positive energy and evaluation to two organizers and administrators of the program Fanni and Sebastian. They were extremely dedicated to the program, thoroughly organized, and just awesome people. Both of them went beyond and above to make sure the program ran smoothly and was interesting, exciting, and fulfilling for all participants. Due to their dedication, no one had to worry about administrative aspects and activities of the program. The teaching/tutoring consisted of already pre-planned questions and idioms that we had to discuss with English-learners. Of course, we didn’t have to stick to the provided questions. Many talked about topics that either were connected to the theme of the lesson or about something else entirely. Furthermore, there were group activities, two-on-two activities, and, finally, a presentation on any topic that an English-learner would like to select. Anglos, for the final project, worked only as mentors. Overall, the organizers did a phenomenal job with preparations and running of the program. Pre-planned lessons were difficult to talk about but were not a hindrance. After all, when intelligent people come together, conversations become quite interesting. Last, but not last, group activities were fun and exciting; really took people out of their comfort zone. Two-on-two conversations were rare but more useful. One such activity was a telephone conversation. I wish we had more of such activities. My recommendation about the activities would be to create more useful activities that are challenging but not too philosophical because some one-on-one discussions had such great conversations that 45 minutes for an activity wasn’t enough. A lesson is as good as the activity that ends on time. As for Hotel Nyerges, I would say that the place was great. It was homey. The air was fresh (considering I came from NYC) with lots of animals. Plus, there was a Jacuzzi, a thermal bath, a pool, and great menu (did I mention this before?). However, the place lacks an air-conditioner in the rooms or even a good fan. In the conclusion, I would highly recommend for any English-speaking individual (who has a good knowledge of it and either was born in an English-speaking country or has a mild accent, like I do), and even for those who want to improve their English, to jump into this program head first. It would be a new experience and meeting new people of different backgrounds and experiences is always a great idea. You will work hard, but you will relax and won’t feel too stressed out (imagine having an activity in a Jacuzzi). This was definitely a different kind of vacation that I would do again.
Exceptional in Many Waya
July 13, 2016by: sherrill madden - United StatesWould you like to broaden your knowledge base? Know more about Polish food, politics, lifestyle, art, history, business - or other areas of interest? Angloville participants will give you more than you give them, if you are fully engaged with the program. Yes, our task was to be the sounding board, the exceptional listener, and the mentor for the participants, but you also can end up as friend, new window on the world, and the motivator who creates an environment of success. This experience was well organized, easy, with congenial staff. Everything you need is provided, venue was a riding academy on the outskirts of a small walkable village. The experience and knowledge you gain in 6 days is sometimes astounding, but at the least, interesting. I learned about science, mechanics, travel, art, medicine, and entrepreneurship from the participants, and volunteers. In turn, I had the opportunity to share what I knew and like a pebble into a pond, the circles expanded. Angloville is also the only program I know about that gives the volunteers an opportunity to earn a TEFL certification. Try it, you may like it - I loved it and have signed on for more!
Angloville : More Than a Language Immersion Program
February 16, 2016by: Rachael NathanielszI had the BEST volunteering experience with Angloville. It was more than a language immersion program. It was a special kind of cultural exchange. Because of Angloville, I was able to build significant connections with interesting people from different parts of Poland - from 11 to 20 years old. Angloville pushed me to do better, think out of the box, and more importantly, helped me believe how I could positively impact other people. I must say that my Angloville experience made me more patient, open, and understanding. It's a once in a lifetime experience that is nothing short of amazing.
Hard work but very rewarding
December 16, 2015by: John DoyleAngloville has a well structured program and that makes a volunteer from whatever background much more effective than would otherwise be the case. The Polish participants came from a variety of professional backgrounds, were mostly at an advance level in English, were serious about perfecting their language skills and they expected results and a pleasant experience. You must really pay attention and be able to speak clearly for many hours each day, explain words, idiom and slang and above all be there on time and be friendly and engaging. The mentoring phase of the program is, in my view, real language teaching and the administrators try to match interests and backgrounds so that if, for instance, someone is an economist, they don't match that person up with an artist for mentoring, not that I remember any artists in the group. The result of the mentoring is a presentation by the Polish participant and is the high point of the program so you have a real responsibility to see the job done right. Facilities at the venue were very good. The afternoon break was an opportunity to try out the steam bath, jacuzzi and indoor pool. All in all, an exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity.
Volunteering with Angloville, Dwor Zubuze
December 11, 2015by: Leo A Passaportis - BournemouthI found that the days literally flew by on this program. There was never a dull moment. Every Polish Participant was willing to learn and in turn share their experiences, ambitions and knowledge. This dynamic made it a very satisfying endeavour and I have made many new friends whom I'm sure I will maintain contact with going forward. It is worth mentioning that the social time outside of the activities is an enjoyable part of the experience too.

It was fun for us English teachers, because everyone wanted to learn! IF YOU HAVE EXTRA TIME IN THE SUMMER THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY!
angloville dec 2015
December 03, 2015by: mountaintrvlSuch an amazing experience! This program greatly exceed my expectations. I absolutely loved everyone I worked with: the coordinators, the students, the other volunteers. Everyone was very kind and cared about each other. The environment was relaxed so that we could have a lot of fun but also got a lot done. The food and hotel was amazing, there was even a spa with a hot tub and thermal pool you could go in every night. If you are looking for something fun and relaxing to do while traveling I highly recommend this program. However, be ready to talk a LOT. Talking to the participants taught me so much about the beautiful country of Hungary and its people.
Fantastic Volunteering Opportunity in Hungary
December 03, 2015by: Fiona - belfastI completed a week with Angloville in Hungary. I would highly recommend it !! It was a fantastic opportunity to meet both hungarian and slovakian people and to learn about their culture in exchange for english language mentoring. I feel that this is a very worthwhile program. By the end of the week, you feel that you have really helped someone to improve their english. I personally find this to be really rewarding as you can watch the participant grow in confidence as the week progresses. Angloville are a very professional organisation and the week is extremely well organised. All you have to do is turn up, be keen to help and they take care of the rest. The venue has been specially selected and I had the opportunity to meet a lot of new people, go horseriding and to use the spa!!! A wonderful experience and a good way to meet lots of new people from all walks of life and make new friends.
my experience in Angloville
December 03, 2015by: siobhan slater - LiverpoolI have had an amazing experience with everyone in the group. The hotel is perfect and the staff were lovely. I have already done a program in Poland and would come back to do another program with Angloville. It is a great way to meet and support new people, see new cities and eat new foods.
Life changing
November 28, 2015by: Clare Henderson - KilkennyI spent a week in Poland at Dwor Zabuze from the 15th to the 20th of November. I wasn't sure what to expect as this was my first time volunteering as a native English speaker. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. We stayed in a three star hotel in the country, with a spa and leisure center, there was also a games room where we could play snooker and table tennis. The food was great and the rooms were nice. It was so peaceful and the scenery was beautiful. The coordinators of the group were very helpful and friendly. I found the week went by quickly as we were having so much fun while teaching English. Angloville is a great experience and I would recommend everyone to do it at least once in there lifetime. I met some amazing people and the experience really opened my mind to the possibilities of volunteering and travelling.
Hotel Chojnik: Angloville Wroclaw; 1-8th Aug 2015
September 12, 2015by: Ali More - GlasgowI am 19 years old from Scotland and I discovered Angloville through a recommendation from one of Angloville's co-ordinators Lucy Fox who I'd gotten to know on holiday in Menorca while she was leader of the kids club. She knew I had travelled before in Asia and loved working with kids in drama classes so she said Angloville would be perfect for me. I joked with her after I'd booked the flight for it that if it was terrible it was on her conscience but after one of the most rewarding, brilliant weeks of my life there were no worries on that count. From start to end it was a fantastic experience. I stayed in the Hostel Bemma which had everything i could want and was 5 mins from the central squares. On the Saturday I met the other volunteers for the first time and despite me being the youngest (19) compared with others up to age 26 they were all extremely warm and positive - glass half full - people. A free tour of the city of Wroclaw showed us all how beautiful it was and allowed us to get to know each other and our excellent (also Scottish) co-ordinator Ross quickly. This was followed by a free meal and then some drinks at a bar where we experienced how inexpensive Poland can be. The next day we met at a car park prior to getting the bus to the hotel, met most of the kids and some of their parents for the first time and then headed off. The organisation of this whole section was excellent. Contacting Ross was easy, the places to meet were easy to find, and getting around the city is simple and cheap. From the bus ride out until the end of the week, it became one of the most rewarding weeks of my life. I feel like I have grown so much thanks to Angloville: through meeting the amazing other volunteers from all over the world who opened my eyes to so many other viewpoints and ways to see the world; to the responsibility and new challenge of teaching and spending time with the Polish participants who were bar none, the sweeetest, most enthusiastic bunch of kids you could ask for. They made every game, speaking session, conversation and moment exciting and fun. They helped me learn how to deal with kids who speak a different language, deal with all different ages and improved my confidence immeasurably. This will all most certainly help me in my prospective career in some form of teaching. This is the kind of week where what you put in is what you get out and I feel I put my absolute all into it and I certainly got a ton out of it. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys working with kids/teenagers; has an enthusiasm for life and relishes connecting with people. The programme was excellently co-ordinated, all the kids were fantastic, I couldn't have asked for a better group of volunteers, you all made this an incredible week! Much love to you all. I will be back!
Angloville experience in Poland
September 01, 2015by: Malc Greenhalgh - LiverpoolI've completed two angloville volunteer programmes one from Warsaw in May 2015 and the other from Wroclaw in August 15. The organisation is very good, the experience of meeting new friends and our polish participants is to be valued. The venues where we volunteer are very good and we get three filling meals a day. The coordinators are very friendly and always there to help if you have any issues. The experience is intense but very enjoyable and helps us as volunteers really dig deep and see what we can achieve in helping our polish friends improve their English. Also the amount of knowledge I gained was excellent as most volunteers have vast experience collectively to pass on regarding travel and volunteering. Overall it was a great experience and something I will look back on fondly. Thank you Angloville!
My Polish immersion
August 30, 2015by: Conrad F Harvey - WarsawI was saved by Angloville just in the knick of time. I had moved to Poland in June of 2015, and my living situation that I had planned on had fell through at the last minute. Desperate and a bit weary of this new land in which I had planted my life, I needed a means by which to find the time to find a new home. In comes Angloville to save my day. They contacted me via Couch Surfing (which is rare I'm told) and asked if I wanted to stay at a Hotel with 3 meals a day for one week free. Given my situation at the time, it felt like divine providence that was nearly impossible to believe! Little did I know that I was in for one of the great experiences of my life. I made wonderful friends amongst both the Native Speakers, Polish Participants and the lovely Coordinators! These are the types of people that I hope I can stay in contact with for many years to come. I have so far done 2 Angloville jr programs. The venue was Stara Stajnia just in between Wrocław and Poznan. It was a spacious venue with horseback riding, plenty of space to walk, do yoga and even play football. While the progam itself is a good 70 hours of activities and speaking sessions it certainly doesn't feel like work! You have the chance to meet and mentor some of the best and brightest of Poland's youth. Young pianists, aspiring scientists, future businessmen and women, and some day the nation's doctors and lawyers. All this at no cost to you save for you time. If you are going to be in Europe for any length of time you MUST attend one of these programs. Some of you may lament at the thought of the Angloville youth being alcohol free, but I found it to be a wonderful chance to detox from the usual rough and tumble of Europe's party scene. I even got the chance to do yoga every morning with a small group which got me back into a daily Yoga routine. If you are on the fence, SIGN UP and GO! It's worth every moment. Also bring a guitar or any instrument you can, you'll need it!
Memorable experience in Hungary
August 13, 2015by: MLI recently participated in an Angloville Junior program, offered in Hungary. From beginning to end, the program was extremely well organized and oriented towards maximal english speaking with the hungarian/polish youth. Working with the other Native English speakers was an experience of a lifetime and has allowed us to form a unique bond amongst the group. The angloville junior program works on a 2 mentees to 1 mentor basis which allows the kids to experience a more personalized experience. The venue itself was very catering to all of our needs, the kitchen staff being extremely helpful with every participants dietary issues, and the cleaning staff for continuously assuring the venue remained in one piece, despite the presence of 40+ Participants. The coordinators were extremely helpful, especially the coordinator Sebastien, assigned specifically for the English Native speakers. Overall, the experience is uncomparable to any other camp you will ever experience. This being said, if youre on the fence about inquiring, I recommend to go for it!
Volunteer teaching at Angloville in Hungary
June 30, 2015by: Tea2stay - EvanstonI spent a wonderful week in Hungary in June 2015 as a volunteer "teacher" in an English camp for adults. Besides meeting Hungarians from all walks of life - mostly 40+ professionals who want to improve their conversational English skills - I also had the opportunity to bond with native speakers from at least four different countries (UK, US, Scotland, New Zealand) during an intensive but very rewarding week. Our venue was a 3 star hotel complete with a pool, spa, Jacuzzi, horses. We did have to share a twin room with a fellow native speaker but it was quite nice, no luxury but it had everything we needed. The weather was quite hot - so we could make good use of the outdoor pool - and although the rooms lacked air-conditioning, inside the building the climate remained pleasant. The best part of the programme is the people, both natives and Hungarians. They were a wonderful bunch and saying goodbye to them was actually quite touching. I felt proud about how my mentee improved during the week and now I'm thinking about doing more teaching in the future. I can recommend this programme to anyone who is curious to meet real Hungarians and go beyond small-talk. I would probably go again myself.
The programme was an incredible experience.
January 20, 2015by: Lucy FoxI participated in an Angloville programme between the 23rd and the 28th of November 2014 at the Chojnik hotel. The programme was an incredible experience. Not only did we have the opportunity to meet Polish people and be immersed in Polish culture, we also met other native English speakers from around the globe who have become travel buddies and long lasting friends. Throughout the week the activities were well structured, planned and most of all engaging for both the native volunteers and the Polish participants. It was the best fun I have had in a very long time. It changed my perspective on many things in such a positive way that it cannot be described, only experienced. And for this reason I would highly recommend that everybody experience at least one Angloville in his or her life.

I have always wanted to travel and take little trips here and there. I read an article in Backpacker magazine about ways to extend your budget and enjoy new opportunities while traveling by volunteering. After reading the article, I was inspired to investigate, which is how I ended up on GoAbroad and discovered the Angloville program.
