Bachelor of Literature
Program Overview
While reading Franz Kafka and Zadie Smith might have inspired you to study Literature, this degree is about more than the books. It teaches you how to understand people, ideas, and stories, and how to apply that to your professional setting.
At the American University in Bulgaria (AUBG), the Literature program invites you to explore texts from classical works to contemporary voices, sharpening your skills in close reading, critical thinking, and storytelling. Through a mix of discussion-based classes, projects, and group work, you’ll actively learn how to express ideas clearly, argue persuasively, and write with purpose.
And in a world shaped by content, communication, and AI, these skills are more relevant than ever. A literature degree prepares you for any work environment, especially when combined with other majors and minors.
