At the American University in Bulgaria (AUBG), the Self-Designed Major gives you the freedom to create a degree tailored entirely to your interests, goals, and vision. Instead of choosing from predefined programs, you design your own interdisciplinary field of study, guided by faculty.
This is one of the most unique opportunities within AUBG’s liberal arts system. You’ll combine knowledge from multiple disciplines, build a cohesive academic plan, and pursue a focused area that reflects your personal and professional ambitions.
Whether you’re interested in something like Political Communication, Environmental Policy, or Visual Culture, your degree will reflect your curiosity and creativity. This program is designed for highly motivated students who want more than a standard path.
Duration: 4 years (Full-time)
Tuition before any financial support: Approx. €6,900 per semester (for the 2026-2027 Academic Year)
Scholarships: Multiple scholarships available.
