Amazon Shelter

This wildlife rehabilitation and release center in Tambopata, Peru, has been rescuing animals affected by habitat loss, hunting, mining, and the illegal wildlife trade for over 20 years. Each rescued animal is carefully rehabilitated to return it to its natural habitat in the Amazon rainforest. Led by Magali and her team, the center has successfully rehabilitated and released hundreds of animals back into the wild over the past 14 years. In addition to rescue efforts, the organization educates local communities, tourists, and students about the importance of wildlife conservation and protecting natural habitats.
