Special Education in Arusha, Tanzania

Tanzania has made significant improvements in recent years to quality and access of education, but in many communities there are still insufficient resources and instructors who are properly qualified to work with special needs children. Those who wish to help these kids can make a significant difference by taking part in our Special Education program in Tanzania. On this program, volunteers assist both inside and outside the classroom at a facility for special-needs students of all ages.  Volunteers may assist with tasks including planning lessons and leading classes, assisting with speech therapy sessions, and taking care of the kids, depending on their experience and what kind of help is most needed.
