One-Week Intensive Swahili Course

Amani Hostel organizes the One-Week Intensive Swahili Course, an ideal start to your volunteer project in Tanzania. This program costs US$ 130 for participants volunteering with us and US$600 for those who don’t. The price already includes accommodation and food, which means your volunteer placement is free! Our language course includes: - An introduction to Swahili, including the history of the language - Lessons on the four major skills: speaking, writing, reading, and listening - Practice each skill during interaction with the teacher and other students - Lessons on vocabulary, grammar, and language culture (such as slang) - Lessons related to your volunteer placement—Swahili as used in schools, hospitals, or local homes Classes last from 8 am – 6 pm, with breaks throughout the day.
