We work with both small health clinics and large government hospitals in and around Arusha as well as the coastal city of Dar es Salaam. These numerous placements allow volunteers the unique opportunity to work in different departments, including maternity, general medicine, surgery, and pediatrics. They can also choose to focus on a particular department. While working closely with local doctors and nurses, they become exposed to a wide range of illnesses.
