Intern abroad in Tanzania and work closely with the center’s staff and management. Your role generally involves helping with the development and implementation of IT systems. The support you provide will contribute to the overall coordination of program objectives and, ultimately, reach the desired outcomes/impacts at the community level. Africa is at the threshold of a digital famine, wherein access is to computers is less than 0.3 percent due to poverty, strict regulations, and poor infrastructure. Given the people’s income level, it’s unlikely that this situation will change anytime soon. As an intern (also open to volunteers), you will help address the issue by supporting Tanzania’s digital initiatives. Your tasks include: - Developing the organization’s (and its affiliate organizations) - Providing the staff with IT skills training and the effective use of computer software applications - Working in the center and on the field - Supporting the Director and/or Line Manager as well as the senior staff
