Internship in Tanzania: Africa Law Aid Support

by: AMANI HOSTEL

Add first reviewVerifiedSince 2019

In collaboration with Amani Hostel’s Legal Advisor Committee, interns provide legal services and assistance to Tanzanian children and women affected by HIV/AIDS. This placement is also available in countries across Latin America and Asia where we operate. This program ensures that the widows and/or orphans of the men who died, particularly from HIV/AIDS, are aware of their rights and that their rights are adequately protected. Interns help provide psychosocial support and contribute to the development of solutions for problems faced by orphanages, widows, HIV/AIDS victims, and volunteers. The placement is in a legal aid clinic, which coaches and empowers clients with the necessary knowledge through counseling and reconciliation sessions. We welcome students and graduates with legal academic backgrounds and human rights experience. We also accept individuals who don’t have relevant experience for work in other areas at the legal center.
