Frequently Asked Questions

What is the typical age group?

Most participants on our 10-week BASI Level 1 & 2 Gap Course are aged 18-22, making it a popular choice for gap year students, university graduates and young adults looking to spend a winter in the Alps. However, we also regularly welcome career breakers and those seeking a change of direction, with participants often in their late 20s, 30s and beyond.

What skiing ability do I need?

You should be a confident skier who can comfortably ski red runs in control and enjoys spending full days on the mountain. You don't need to be an expert or have race experience, but you should be able to link parallel turns on a variety of groomed terrain and be confident skiing in different snow conditions.

Our coaches will help you develop the technical skills required for the BASI Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications throughout the course.

Where will I stay?

You'll stay in comfortable, catered accommodation in the heart of Verbier, just a short distance from the lifts, shops and resort amenities. Living with your fellow trainees is a huge part of the experience, creating a friendly, sociable atmosphere where you'll build lasting friendships throughout the winter.

Our accommodation includes shared bedrooms, communal living spaces and daily catering, giving you everything you need.
