Amazon Rainforest Conservation Volunteer Program in Peru

Participating in ASA's volunteer program was an experience I will cherish for the rest of my life. The jungle at Finca Las Piedras is stunning, and I saw so much wildlife. The trail system is well-maintained and beautiful to explore. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and supportive. While the accommodations are basic, they are clean and safe. I loved waking up every morning to the sounds of the jungle. Supporting the protection of this important ecosystem while learning about the region’s unique wildlife was a life-changing experience. I would highly recommend this volunteer program to anyone considering it.

Amazing 54ha conservation area with a biological station. Perfect to stay for a few days just to visit and explore the trails or even months to do research projects. I especially liked that, in comparison to other areas, it was possible to explore trails on my own and even at night to see lots of insects and reptiles. Great food, vegan options are available when registered beforehand.

I had a great time at the research station. The team there does fantastic work. Especially with the problems surrounding gold mining, it's so important to have places like this that protect the rainforest.

I've stayed there for four days with their volunteering program and it was spectacular. They are doing such an amazing job there on research and on maintaining the forest. Everything is very organized and the forest they have is amazing and if you're lucky you will see amazing animals day and night.
