My transformation in Zaragoza: from zero to fluent in 3 months

I decided to do my Gap Year at ALE Zaragoza and it was the best choice I could have made. At first, I didn't speak any Spanish, but the accelerated method really works and in just 12 weeks I was already able to communicate with total confidence. What I liked most was the total immersion of living with a Spanish family, which forces you to practice 24/7 in a super welcoming environment. Zaragoza is an incredible and safe city, full of young life and perfect for those looking for an authentic experience without the crowds of Madrid or Barcelona. The teachers are very approachable and the group of international friends I made at the school became my family. If you are looking for a real transformation in a short time, this is the place!

I was searching for new academic and cultural experiences, so I decided that going abroad was the best way to achieve this. At the moment, I’m studying veterinary medicine at Messina University in Italy - however, we don’t do many practice activities. I chose Spain because I wanted to experience the teaching methods at the universities here. I also chose Spain because I heard that Spanish are very welcoming people.

I like to share my language and culture and also learn from my students, their language, and culture. I always say this job allows you to travel everyday without taking a plane and being paid for it. I have met people from all over the world. At the beginning they were students but now they are friends.
