Spend a summer in the unforgettable capital city of Rome, Italy, with AIFS Abroad! Choose from internship opportunities in a variety of fields, with up to 7 credits awarded by Fairfield University. Plus, select from course options offered at the Global Study Center to complement your internship. The AIFS Abroad Global Study Center is centrally located in Rome’s historic center in a beautiful building in Piazza Sant’Andrea della Valle. This Internship Program provides an integrated learning experience of a high academic standard, combining classroom study with a practical work placement. It focuses on arts and tourism, preparing you with skills and expertise in management, marketing, and operations. An Internship Coordinator will advise and support you during individual meetings and seminars throughout the program. Then, take your learning outside the classroom through cultural and social activities. Past events have included: - Guided city walks - Visits to museums - Wine, pizza, and gelato tastings - Opera, ballet, and musical performances - 2-day excursion to Florence (Session 1) - 3-day trip to Sorrento, Pompeii, Naples, & Capri (Session 2 only)

Changed my life for the better

I genuinely wish I could do it all over again, but without changing anything—maybe just eat more gelato. AIFS guided me to a company that published a travel magazine, something I've always wanted to do. On the first day meeting my boss, I knew I was in the right place. The best part was that I only had to prepare a resume, a cover letter, and complete an interview. The internship was guaranteed, so I didn't have the stress of applying and interviewing at ten different places. I am extremely grateful to AIFS and my time in Rome. The program staff was accommodating and made life less stressful than, let’s face it, it should have been. I would recommend anyone look into AIFS, as it will change your life.
