Earn 3-semester credits during a 2-week January term program with AIFS Abroad at Veritas University in San José, Costa Rica. Courses are taught in English. Veritas University was founded in 1975 as a Universidad Autónoma de Centroamérica college, the first private university in Costa Rica. Veritas is fully accredited by the Costa Rican Ministry of Education. Choose among course options focusing on health and human sciences, environmental studies, and international business. Live in a homestay within walking distance of the university and immerse yourself in Tica culture and the Spanish language. Breakfast and dinner, laundry service, and internet are included with the homestay. The lively capital of Costa Rica offers all the facilities of a big city while being within reach of two coasts, volcanoes, and national parks of the central highlands. Costa Rica’s territory is within the top 20 richest countries in biodiversity in terms of species density. Costa Rica is one of the most ecologically varied countries worldwide and a magnet for those interested in wildlife and the natural world.
