Program Overview

Spend a summer outside Dublin in the spectacular city of Maynooth, Ireland, with AIFS Abroad! Choose from various course options and earn six credits at Maynooth University. Courses are taught in English.

Live on campus in a 4- or 5-bedroom apartment with a shared kitchen, bathroom, and living room. You will receive breakfast from Monday through Friday in the University cafeteria. A welcome dinner and some meals during excursions are also included in your program fee.

Cultural and social activities include:
• A wide variety of extracurricular clubs and societies on campus
• Visit an Irish farm
• Dublin excursion with a visit to Croke Park

Learn inside and outside the classroom on this 4-week summer program in Maynooth, Ireland.
Open to college sophomores, juniors and seniors (high school graduates and college freshmen considered on a case-by-case basis).

The best experience in my undergraduate career!

Although study abroad was required for my major, the urge to go to another country has always been present. Doing my study abroad for the summer at Maynooth was the best experience of my life and something I can never stop talking about. Everywhere I went people were so friendly and I met some of my best friends while I was there. I always recommend people to go to Maynooth or study abroad in general!

Something You'll never Regret

Choosing to do a Summer abroad in Ireland was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I was kind of scared going to a new country by myself, but the program helped me every step of the way! From Zoom meetings, checklists, and detailed itineraries, I felt safe the entire time. Getting to live in a new culture is truly life changing. Between studying, tours, and excusions, I never hard time to miss home. The program not only immerses you in the culture, but encourages you to go out and explore on your own. This program gave me the courage to explore and continue to travel and I would recommend to anyone with an adventurous spirit to partake.
