Program Highlights
Study in one of the food hubs of the world—Belgium, known for their street vendors as well as their delectable chocolate!
Immerse yourself in the French or Flemish language and join a community of multilingual people; you'll likely encounter those speaking German or Dutch as well.
Live with a host family to deepen your immersion and connection to Belgian culture.
Experience the cultural melting pot of Belgium, where its rich history has influences from many cultures across Europe.

November 08, 2018by: Mattisen W.Program: AFS Intercultural Programs: High School Abroad in BelgiumIt chose AFS because it was the most used organization in my area so I only really knew about that one. But I learned once I was there that it was one of the better options anyway compared to other organizations. During my experience I gained friends from every corner of the world, I learned patience and gratitude for what I have, and I learned how to travel.
