Two life-changing months!
February 02, 2025by: Micah Kieckhefer - United StatesProgram: AFS Intercultural Programs: Argentina Summer High SchoolIt was an incredible experience; I not only learned a ton of Spanish, I also had an eye opening experience that taught me to think about the world differently. As I plan to become a doctor, I felt it would help me understand patients from different walks of life better. Having the experience of living in a foreign country without knowing what to expect and without speaking enough of the language, I am able to relate to immigrants better because I have experience rather than an idea of what it means to immigrate. Going in high school is also beneficial because you get to see how people grow up somewhere else, and you form lifelong relationships with those around you!
