Program Overview

Teaching English is one of the only programs Adelante Abroad offers to Beginner Spanish Speakers, and Quito, Ecuador, is one of the best places to teach English!

Choose between working at a K-8 school, being integrated into the existing curriculum as a Teacher’s Aide, or interning in a private language institute, teaching English to local adults. The language institutes we work with are well-known, international companies with schools in other countries.

In both placements, all training is provided; no teaching or TEFL experience is required. Pro tip: Bring some materials from home, like your local Newspaper and English Magazines, to build challenging lesson plans.

Adelante internship placements are tailored individually based on a combination of requirements: previous experience and qualifications in your chosen sector, Spanish-speaking skills, interests, and availability. Participation in this program will massively upgrade your resume and provide you with the opportunity to become fluent in Spanish. Our programs include 2 weeks of intensive Spanish language courses and housing so you can get acclimated to your new city. Submit a $325 application deposit to secure your spot!

My Experience With Adelante in Ecuador

This was my second time doing an Adelante program, and it was once again an incredible experience. My experience with Adelante the second time around was even greater! The Ecuador program is truly an excellent opportunity to immerse oneself in Ecuadorian culture, become fluent in Spanish, and gain valuable work experience. Adelante connects you with talented Spanish teachers who make learning Spanish practical and fun. The housing was in a perfect location, and the host family was welcoming and kind. My internship in Quito was enriching. I learned a lot in my two months, and I was able to work outside in the city and with the community as well. I had a great time, and Adelante helped everything run smoothly and safely.
