My Beautiful Experience with TEFL in Malaga!
March 06, 2026by: PiotrProgram: Train to Teach English – Trinity CertTESOL in Spain
I initially started with a 10-week online course in October, but later decided to switch to a 6-week blended format so I could complete part of my Teaching Practices on site in Malaga. This slightly spontaneous decision was met with genuine enthusiasm by the TEFL in Malaga team, who made the transition between the two formats smooth and completely stress-free. Throughout the course, everything followed a clear and logical progression, with each stage naturally preparing you for the next one and making teaching development clearly visible over time. One of the strongest elements running through all of these stages is the feedback. During each teaching session, tutors observe carefully and provide detailed, honest, and constructive comments, helping you set clear goals for the next lesson. But what really sets this course apart is the incredible team of tutors. They’re highly professional, approachable, and genuinely supportive. Always ready to answer questions and guide you through challenges, they create a sense of safety and trust. By integrating attentive, professional guidance, careful feedback, flexible scheduling, excellent access to materials, and a supportive peer community, the course is intense but genuinely transformative – and incredibly effective in a relatively short time. I can honestly recommend it to anyone who wants to grow professionally and get properly qualified to teach – it’s absolutely worth it.

What inspired you to travel abroad?
Active Language had a great reputation in the area for being a school which promotes teacher development. Going to the ACEIA annual conference, I often saw that there were speakers from Active Language, and I really enjoyed the sessions I attended run by their staff. At the time, I was working in a school with fewer development opportunities and jumped at the chance to become a part of the Active team.
