Our most popular option, the Italian Standard Course, is ideal for individuals who wish to study the language and still have free time for tourism and extracurricular activities. Classes are held in groups with limited students (ideally 2 to 5) so the teacher can focus on individual learning needs. Lessons focus on the four major language skills: speaking, reading, writing, and listening. Each group class has students with the same knowledge level so they can work together and motivate each other. A weekly Standard Course runs for 20 hours. The class schedule is from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, with a break at 11:00 am (each lesson lasts 55 minutes), and may change depending on availability and the season. After the lessons, we offer many extracurricular activities, including cooking classes with a professional chef and excursions to different places. Prices (+60€ inscription fee and course materials): 1 week: 260€ 2 weeks: 480€ 3 weeks: 660€ 4 weeks: 820€ The Standard Course is also available for a longer term.

Total immersion in Campania's culture

I'm used to language holidays in Italy, but this was the first time I'd discovered the south of the country thanks to the language course at Accademia Leonardo. I was already pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and availability of the team who manage the enrolments. Once there, I had the opportunity to follow the course with Mario. I have excellent memories of the course, both for the quality of his teaching and for the sound advice he gave on tourism. Thanks to him, I discovered a region I didn't know, with its gastronomy and customs. Above all, I really experienced the Italian ‘dolce vita’, whether in Salerno itself or on the Amalfi coast. What's more, the town's geographical location means that it's easy to get to sites such as Paestum, Naples, Vesuvius and Pompeii. I highly recommend this school, and I hope one day to be able to go back there to improve my Italian even further.

The Leonardo provided me with a great atmosphere and an excellent teacher. They helped me with accommodation. I lived with a local family who were very warm and supportive. Great experience! Great school, beautiful city and very nice people!

I loved my stay in Salerno. Classes with Clarissa were very interesting, engaging and fun. She is a natural born teacher and a great person. Real Italian girl. There were very few students in the school. There was plenty of opportunities to immerse in Italuan culture: extracurricular excurcions, cooking classes, sightseeing. I travelled a lot. Have seen most of the Amalfi cost must- sees and discovered many attractions of the tourist path. The school Staff is always helpful. I know my Italian is much better after 2 weeks there. Salerno offers a lot: great restaurants, bars, amazing churches, great place to travel from to the Costiera Amalfitana, Naples and Cilentian Coast. It was a very intensive time. Also I met great friends in schools and spent wonderful time with them. I would love to repertuar the experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I get to meet other students and teachers during the break?

Yes! We all take breaks together so everyone can meet everyone and make friends, share tips, and so on!

How long does it take to improve my language skills?

It depends on whether you're a fast learner or need more time. We trust you will see some difference in your language skills after one week. But, of course, the more time you put into your studies, the better you will get.

Will I receive writing supplies during the course?

We will give you the materials and books needed during lessons. But, please, bring a notebook and writing supplies (like a pen or pencil) for note-taking. If you forget, we will try to find these things for you. But it's always better to have your own stuff.

Are there some after-class activities?

Yes! We are offering after-class activities. You can explore the Campania with us. Our school offers several activities, so every Monday, you can see the list in school and choose in what you want to participate.

Is there wifi connection in school?

We provide a Wi-Fi connection for all students. On the first day of school, we will share the password with you, and then you can surf the internet as much as you want! But not in class!
